The team: Collibra’s Product Operations team works at the intersection of Product, Customer Success, Sales, and Engineering. Our mission is to be a trusted partner, providing processes and information that deliver a better experience and more value to our customers, faster.

The role: We are looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to analyze our product usage, content, and operational data, and work with stakeholders to drive efficiency, quality, and scale.

You will report to the VP of Product Operations and work primarily with stakeholders across all functions in Product. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with other Business and Data Intelligence Analysts across Collibra to develop a culture of data-driven decision-making.

The BI Analyst at Collibra is responsible for

  • Working hand-in-hand with subject matter experts to define key metrics and data gathering methodologies for various exciting initiatives, focusing mainly on product, customer, and user analytics.
  • Designing, developing, and continuously improving useful and user-friendly reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Creating engaging dashboards and visualizations to showcase key metrics.
  • Turning complex data findings into clear, actionable recommendations for internal stakeholders and leaders.

You have

  • 2+ years of experience in analytics and reporting, preferably in a SaaS context.
  • Deep appreciation for data. You understand more than most that good data leads to outcomes, and want to learn with the best.
  • Experience in data exploration and wrangling. You can interrogate data stored in relational databases with SQL and productionalize data pipelines using tools like dbt. Programming experience with Python and/or Java is a plus.
  • Experience in data modeling. You operate with an understanding of thoughtful model design, query performance, and code maintainability.
  • Exposure to SaaS productivity tools. You’ve used or understand the purpose of tools like Jira, Salesforce, Pendo, Centercode, Aha!, Zendesk and Collibra.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent related working experience is required

  • A story teller, with experience visualizing data effectively. You can make data tell the story, using business intelligence tools like Tableau, Looker or Power BI.
  • A builder, creating data products to solve problems and unlock growth.
  • An excellent communicator. You can present your ideas succinctly and effectively in excellent written and spoken English. Other languages are a plus—our team speaks over seven!
  • A customer champion, translating usage patterns into product improvements.
  • A team player, helping us grow our business and growing with it.

Measures of success

  • First Month: Build relationships within the Product Operations team, understand our product tools, processes, and data landscape, and start supporting existing reporting initiatives.
  • Third Month: Establish relationships with key SMEs, continuously improve existing reporting initiatives, and start developing your own.
  • Sixth Month: Successfully roll out your first data product for Product & Engineering.

Compensation for this role 

This position is not eligible for additional commission-based compensation. Salary offers are based on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, and location.
