A journey toward “Smart City” status through data reliability

Glendale is a metropolitan city near Phoenix in the desert state of Arizona where its city council delivers a range of municipal services to over a quarter of a million residents. This accomplished city prides itself on having hosted the Super Bowl three times, welcoming pilots from around the world to train on F-35 Lightning jets at Luke Air Force Base and developing one of the largest manmade lakes. Glendale established several initiatives to enhance the use of data across its operations and was recognized for its work with awards including a “What Works Cities” Gold certification for investment in data and transparency.
